MOT INFORMATION
THE MOT TEST CERTIFICATE
An MOT Certificate confirms that at the time of the test, without dismantling, the vehicle met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards required by law. It does not mean that the vehicle is roadworthy for the life of the certificate. the test does not cover the condition of the engine, clutch or gearbox.
THE MOT
Everyone who uses a vehicle on the road is required to keep it in a roadworthy condition. The road-worthiness is checked in the interests of road safety and the environment by the test we call the MOT. The first test is required once your vehicle is three years old. The MOT looks at some important items on your car to make sure that it meets key legal requirements.

THE GOVERNING BODY
DVSA is the government agency responsible for supervising the MOT scheme. It does this by -
AUTHORISING MOT STATIONS AND APPROVING NOMINATED TESTER'S.
SETTING STANDARDS FOR TESTING AND REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHORISATION FOR THE TEST STATION AND TESTER'S.
TRAINING AUTHORISED EXAMINERS AND MOT TESTER'S.
VISITING TEST CENTRE'S ON A REGULAR BASIS AND CARRYING OUT CHECKS TO ENSURE TESTING STANDARDS ARE MAINTAINED. THIS WILL INCLUDE CHECKING THE TESTER'S COMPETENCE AND MAINTENANCE OF APPROVED EQUIPMENT.
GIVING ADVICE / TAKING DISCIPLINARY ACTION WHERE TESTS ARE NOT BEING CARRIED OUT TO THE REQUIRED STANDARDS.
DEALING WITH APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS FROM MOT CUSTOMERS.

Here at BR CARTRONICS we have the latest ATL ( Automated Test Lane ) complimented by state of the art equipment. We have two highly skilled MOT Tester's, MARK MATTHEWS and BERNARD ROBERTSON.

DVSA is the government agency responsible for supervising the MOT scheme.
In the UK there are in excess of 19,000 Garages approved as MOT Test Stations. The Blue Three Triangles logo which has to be displayed, identifies approved Test Centre's.
